Cincy Classic Cars is very proud to offer this amazing survivor 1982 Mustang GT Show car which is in fantastic original condition with low actual miles of 15,073 Actual documented miles. This GT has been featured in multiple Mustang Magazines and made the cover of one as seen in photos. This Mustang has placed at numerous car shows including its best honor of First place in Original Class 1979-1986 at the 2018 Foxtoberfest, the largest annual Fox body national car show of the year. This Mustang also placed within the top 100 cars out of 5200 cars being awarded a 6 foot trophy in Dublin Ohio. This Mustang is Un-Restored and in like new overall condition and has only had two owners from new. The car has been garaged from day one and the non restored near perfect condition is a testament to the care its received over 36 years. This Mustang features super nice all original paint, a stunningly beautiful original interior, several dealer books and manuals, the original numbers matching complete drive line, Marti Report, Window Sticker, and the original dealer purchase paperwork. This Mustang is absolutely solid and has no visible rust anywhere around the car or under the car, and is very solid with great lines and gaps. Its believed that this Mustang has never had any body work or paint work done and is all original sheet metal. This Mustang is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Medium Red over Red vinyl interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the Marti report pictured above. The low mileage is not only validated by the amazing original condition of this Mustang but also by the Ohio title stating the mileage as “Actual.” There are some receipts which show mileage and two Mileage accounts from when the car was sold.

Exterior

The Red exterior is in incredible original condition. This Mustang has never had any paintwork done and still hosts its original sheet metal and factory emblems, trim, and moldings. The paint is in spectacular condition for its age and for being original and there are no signs of visible rust anywhere around the car or under the car. There is no bubbling paint anywhere on the car and no crazing or cracked paint anywhere on the car. Both bumpers are in excellent shape with no pitting, dents, or scratches. This Mustang is extremely strait with great gaps and lines. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. The TRX wheels are in fantastic shape with no curb rash and the TRX tires have good tread left and drive just fine and look great on the car. The original tires have good tread left and come with the car. All weather stripping and window sweeps are original and in excellent condition. The hatch is factory correct and in near perfect shape and the spare tire looks like it has never been removed and the jack and tools are in the factory placement. The underside of this Mustang is very honest and extremely solid and rust free, and has not had any touch ups. There are several tags, markings, and factory marks and stamps noticeable. All glass is factory original, and in excellent shape. The hood is a bit dull. A key lock from an old alarm system is still attached to the front fender although the alarm system has been removed from the car.

Interior

The Red vinyl interior of this Mustang is original and in superb condition. The seat covers are factory originals and in near mint condition for their age and being vinyl. There is no noticeable wear on the seat covers and they are very comfortable with supportive seat foams. The carpet is original and looks nearly perfect with no stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in excellent condition with no fading and the gauges are crisp and clear. The original stereo looks great in the car and works like it should and the factory power amp works when engaged.
The original door panels are in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The original fog lights work great and look excellent on the car. All interior lights and gauges work as they should. The horn, stereo, wipers, rear defrost, cigarette lighter, and blower motor on all speeds, all work. This Mustang has never been smoked in and there is no cigarette aroma what so ever. The factory headrests come with the car and are like new as does a set of floor mats as seen in the photos. Heater core is bypassed, see receipt from the 90’s and AC needs charged. The alternator makes a mild noise and has for a few years and the speedo cable is a little noisy as well.

Mechanical

This Mustang is in excellent mechanical condition with only 15,073 actual miles on the original drive line and drives like new. A new battery was added and several maintenance items were addressed. A new water pump was just installed on 5/16/2020 with a new timing cover. The engine was removed from the car during winter 2019 and all engine gaskets were replaced including: head gaskets, intake gasket, valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket, front and rear shaft gaskets, top cover transmission gasket, fuel pump gasket, thermostat gasket, and timing cover and water pump gaskets. These were done as there were some minor leaks around the engine bay due to all these gaskets being original. A new brake booster and master cylinder were added as the originals were showing their age. The originals worked properly but did not show well. A new radiator and a new factory style muffler were added about 1000 miles ago. I have only driven this Mustang a little bit as to keep the miles down. This GT was driven to local shows and trailered to distant shows. The brakes work as they should, car steers as it should, and the car shifts as it should. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. The engine is clean and stock and shows very well with a lot of originality. The engine bay is very unmolested and is very factory correct and all of the lines, hoses, clamps, and wires, etc. are factory original. This is a factory AC car and all AC components are still on the car and unmolested. The exhaust is factory correct and has been untouched outside of the replacement muffler. Nothing has been painted or touched up anywhere on this car including the underside. Many surfaces from the factory were not painted which creates surface corrosion over the years which is inevitable. There are factory markings, tags, paint dobs in many factory places on the car and noted in the photos. This Mustang has been loved and meticulously cared for by its previous owners and the overall condition of this car and the way it runs and drives validates that. The outstanding originality of this Mustang and the way it drives is a true testament to prior owners care and love for this special Mustang. This is a show and go Mustang GT which is a true investment grade vehicle and will continue to go up in value and earn numerous trophies in its future.
