Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1970 Monte Carlo which is in gorgeous original condition with low actual miles of 56,962. This Monte Carlo features a beautiful repaint in factory Fathom Blue which shows very well, an terrific original Dark Blue cloth interior, and the believed to be original numbers matching 350 engine and automatic transmission. This Monte Carlo is very solid with great lines and gaps and has no visible rust on body or frame. This Monte Carlo is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Fathom Blue over Dark Blue cloth interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured below.

Exterior

The Fathom Blue exterior is in amazing condition. This Monte Carlo was treated to a professional repaint a few years ago and the paint is in extremely nice condition and shows very well. You would be proud to roll into any local car show or cruise in, this Monte Carlo pops. The paint is in great condition with no signs of visible rust on the body or frame. The paint is highly reflective and acts like a mirror and was challenging to photograph. It looks much better in person and the video shows the paint more accurately. The vinyl roof is in good shape but there are some imperfections/bumps under the top in a few spots, see photos below. Both bumpers are in incredible shape shape and shine very will and there are no major scratches, pitting, or issues with the chrome. All trim is in great shape as well. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. Tires have nearly full tread left and are sized 225/60/15 and the Rally wheels are OEM originals and are in good overall condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with the spare tire, jack, and original trunk mat. All the glass is “LOF” factory original.

Interior

The Dark Blue cloth interior of this Monte Carlo is in super nice condition. The seat covers are in excellent condition with no major rips, stains, or excessive wear. The carpet is original with no major stains, rips, or holes and is in great shape. The original dash is in great condition with no cracks or fading and the dash bezel is in good condition as well. The stereo has been upgraded to a modern 2 prong retro sound head unit with a USB connection wired into the ash tray, see photos. Thankfully the dash was not cut on to install this modern stereo. The door panels are original and in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The package tray is in good condition as well. All interior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the clock. The horn, stereo, and wipers also work. The horn surround does have a few cracks and the right side horn does not work but the left side horn works fine. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.

Mechanical

This Monte Carlo is in excellent mechanical condition with only 56,962 actual miles. This car runs and drives as good or better than any older car I’ve driven, It truly is a pleasure to drive around in the car. The engine is believed to be the original 350 engine installed at the factory. The engine ID that is stamped into the pad reads “V0421CNN” which fits this cars build date and suffix code is correct for a 250HP 350 engine with 2bbl carb. The vin stamp on the pad is to faded to fully read and to photograph. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This Monte Carlo is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs great. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. The exhaust has glass pack dual mufflers and gives off a classic muscle car tone. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory AC car and all the AC components are in tact but the compressor just went out and is making noise, prior til that the system did blow cold air. Sounds like the bearings went out in the compressor.
