Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this stunning 1986 TVR 280i which is in terrific unrestored condition with low actual miles of 17,451. This TVR is in great overall condition and spent many years in a private collection and is one of three cars we have purchased from this seller. This TVR features beautiful believed to be original paint in dark blue, a beautiful un restored interior, and a great running Ford engine. This TVR is solid with no visible rust anywhere around the car. This TVR is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Dark Blue over White interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above. The low actual miles is not only verified by the great all around condition of this 280i but also by the clear Ohio title pictured above stating the miles as “Actual.” The previous PA title shows the miles as Actual as well.
Exterior
The Blue exterior is in terrific unrestored condition. This 280i has believed to be original paint and is in great overall condition and still shows very well. The paint is in great condition and shows well and both bumpers are in good shape. The paint has a great gloss and shine and is smooth to the touch. The gaps and lines are very good around the car. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have near full tread left and the original wheels are in great shape and shine nicely. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in great condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with an original spare tire and jack tools.
Interior
The interior of this 280i is in very good unrestored condition. The seat covers are in great condition with no major wear, seam splits, or rips or tears. The carpet is in great condition with no major stains, rips, or holes. The door panels are in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The original dash is in great shape with no cracks or fading and the dash bezel is in great condition as well. The stereo was upgraded with a modern digital player and looks good in the car and sounds great. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should including the clock. The horn, wipers, stereo, heater, power windows all work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This 280i is in great mechanical condition with only 17,451 believed to be actual miles. We have driven this TVR numerous times around town and it always performs well, does not run hot, rides tight, and is a true joy to drive. The engine runs strong and smooth and has good power. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This 280i is an great driver that feels good on the road and at highway speeds. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs good. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. This exhaust sounds healthy at idle and cruising speeds. The underside of this TVR is very solid and clean and shows very well. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos.
