Cincy Classic Cars is proud to share this one owner 1981 Trans Am which is in superb overall condition with very low actual miles of 37,355. This car drives like new as only a very low mile car can. This TA is from Canada and the odometer reads in Kilometers and is currently showing 60,238 kilometers which equates to 37,430 miles. The kilometers and miles are documented as Actual. The original 305 engine remains in the car and the vin on the engine block is numbers matching as well as the automatic transmission being numbers matching. This TA features beautiful Dark Brown paint, an original near mint Sandstone interior, the original 305 engine and automatic transmission, and numerous original dealer documents and brochures. This TA is very solid with great lines and gaps. There is no rust or rust repairs and no bubbling or cracked paint. The underside is extremely solid with no rust or corrosion issues and no patches or repairs. This TA is finished in the desirable color combinations of Dark Brown over Sandstone Deluxe interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above.

Exterior

The Dark Brown exterior is in fantastic mostly original condition. This TA has great paint with original decals. The believed to be mostly original paint is in excellent overall condition for its age with no signs of visible rust anywhere on the body or underneath and both bumpers are in great shape. There is no bubbling paint anywhere on the body of this car. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have full tread left and are brand new and sized 225/70/15 and the 15″ OEM rally wheels are in great shape. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in good original condition. Trunk is very solid and clean and factory correct with the original trunk mat, original spare tire and jack, and the original t top bags. The underside of this TA is exceptionally solid with no rust issues or concerns and no patches or repairs.

Interior

The Sandstone deluxe interior of this TA is in terrific mostly original condition. The original seat covers are in spectacular condition with no noticeable wear or fading or seam splits. These are factory original covers not some cheap aftermarket covers. The carpet is original with no major stains, rips, or holes and is in excellent condition. The original dash is in like new condition with no cracks or warping or fading and the original plastic pieces are still under the metal A pillar trim pieces. The engine turned dash bezel is like new as well and correct and looks beautiful in the car. The stereo was upgraded to a digital Alpine unit decades ago and works great and sounds excellent and thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern CD stereo. A Clarion EQ was also added which really enhances the sound this stereo puts out. The original door panels are in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner and package tray are both in great condition. The headliner is the correct perforated material. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should including the cigarette lighter and the clock keeps accurate time and works properly. The horn, all gauges, stereo, wipers, rear defrost, and blower motor all work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever. It actually still smells new inside the car. The Factory AC system is fully in tact and has not been altered but needs a charge to work properly.

Mechanical

This TA is in exceptional mechanical condition and the original 305 engine is still in the car with matching vin number, see photo. This engine runs very well and the car performs nicely. This TA drives like new with surprising power and the handling is superior. A newer stock style exhaust remains under this TA and gives this car a mild rumble at idle and cruising speeds, and the original cat still remains in place. We have driven this car numerous times and it always performs well, it does not run hot, it rides tight, and is always a joy to drive. This TA is a spectacular driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time and runs well. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should and were serviced with new front brake pads. A new alternator was recently added. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. The engine bay is highly original with many original hoses, stampings, decals, clamps, etc.
