Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1980 Formula which is in fantastic original condition and priced to sell. This Formula features believed to be mostly original paint with original decals, a beautiful mostly original black deluxe cloth interior, the original V8 engine, and several original dealer documents including the original factory build sheet and window sticker. The original bill of sale is also included and original owner documents. This Formula is absolutely solid and has no visible rust anywhere around the car or under the car, and is very solid with great lines and gaps. Its believed that this Formula has never had any body work done and is all original sheet metal. This Formula is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Francisco Red (code 72) over Black Deluxe cloth interior(code 19B). This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag and build sheet pictured above. I removed the rear seat during detailing and found a perfect original build sheet tucked behind the rear seat springs, see included photo. These were placed in the car nearly 38 years ago on the assembly line. Another great sign of originality and authenticates this Formula for what it was then and what it still is today.

Exterior

The Francisco Red exterior is in very nice overall original condition. This Formula is believed to have mostly original paint and still hosts its original sheet metal and original factory graphics. The paint is in good overall condition for its age and there are no signs of visible rust and both bumpers are in good shape with no flaking paint. The car was rust proofed by “Rusty Jones” when new for $150, see detailed original bill of sale photo. The decals are in good shape for being nearly 38 years old and still look great on the car. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. Tires have good tread left and are correctly sized at 225/70/15. The 15×7 Rally Wheels are OEM originals and are restored and in excellent shape with no curb rash. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in excellent condition. The trunk is very solid with an original trunk mat and the original jack. The underside of this Formula is honest and extremely solid and rust free. It has not been touched up with cheap spray paint or undercoating. All glass is factory original “LOF” glass.

Interior

The Black cloth deluxe interior of this Formula is mostly original and in great condition. The seat covers are factory originals and in great overall condition for their age and have no major wear, stains, or seam splits. The carpet has recently been replaced and is like new with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or fading and the dash bezel is in great condition as well. The Stereo has been upgraded to a modern CD Player with a digital radio and sounds excellent with the 4 speakers. The original door panels are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is in excellent condition and the original package tray is in like new condition. The headliner was recently replaced with stock style material. All interior lights and gauges work as they should including the cigarette lighter, and amazingly the clock keeps accurate time. The horn, stereo, wipers, cigarette lighter, clock, rear defrost, and blower motor on all speeds all work.

Mechanical

This Formula is in exceptional mechanical condition and runs and drives excellent. This car rides very tight and its obvious the car has never been apart. Most importantly the original drive line is still in the car, see the correct vin stamp on the engine block photo above. We have driven this Formula numerous times around town and it drives wonderfully, it does not run hot, rides very tight, and is a true joy to drive. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. The transmission was removed from the car and completely rebuilt at a cost of $1000 at 96,000 miles, see receipt photo. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. True dual exhaust was added which has a nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. The engine bay is very unmolested and is very factory correct and a lot of the lines and wires are factory original. This Formula has been loved and meticulously cared for by its previous owners and the amazing overall original condition of this Formula is a testament to that. The outstanding originality of this Formula and the way it drives is a true testament to prior owners care and love for this special car.
