Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1979 Z28 which is in stunning restored condition and priced to sell. This Z28 is loaded with very sought after factory options such as: 350 engine, 4 Speed manual transmission, Factory Air conditioning, 3.73 rear axle with posi traction, tilt wheel, and F41 sport suspension. This Z28 features a beautiful repaint in factory Dark Brown which still shows very well, a restored Tan cloth interior, and a great running 350 LM1 engine and M21 4 speed transmission. This Z28 is extremely solid with great lines and gaps and has no visible rust anywhere on body or frame. This Z28 was sold new in Colorado and spent its life out west mostly in California and Nevada. This Z28 is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Dark Brown (code 69) over Tan (code 62) cloth interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag and build sheets pictured above. Also included with this Z28 is two factory build sheets, several original documents and car manual, and several restoration receipts.

Exterior

The Dark Brown exterior is in terrific overall condition. This Z28 was treated to a professional repaint in factory Dark Brown and still shows very well today. The paint is in great overall condition with a great shine and gloss and is smooth to the touch. There are no signs of visible rust anywhere on this car and no bubbling paint anywhere on the body. The underside of this Z28 is exceptionally solid and honest with no rust or corrosion anywhere. It has spent its entire life out west and by the looks of the body and undercarriage that is clearly evident. Both bumpers are in great shape shape with no flaking or faded paint, although there is some light spider webbing on the drivers side corner of rear bumper. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. Tires are nearly brand new with full tread left and are correctly sized 225/70/15 and the Factory wheels are OEM originals and are in excellent shape with no curb rash and have been repainted in body color. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original space saver spare tire, jack, and original style trunk mat. Door seals, window seals, trunk seal, and window sweeps have all been replaced. All the glass is “LOF” factory original outside of the replacement windshield.

Interior

The Tan interior of this Z28 is in splendid restored condition. The new seat covers are in perfect condition with no noticeable wear anywhere. The seat foams were replaced as well. The carpet was replaced and is in excellent condition with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in terrific condition with no cracks or fading and the dash bezel is in excellent condition as well. The stereo has been upgraded to a modern Kenwood unit with CD player and MP3/USB hook ups with nice 6×9 speakers. The door panels have been replaced and are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The package tray has been replaced and is like new condition and the headliner has been replaced as well. All interior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the clock. The horn, stereo, blower motor, Power Windows, AC, wipers, and even cigarette lighter all work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.

Mechanical

This Z28 is in great mechanical condition and runs and drives very well. The clutch and flywheel were replaced in 2016 and the car shifts very smoothly. The AC compressor was changed in 2015 and the AC system blows cold air currently and works as it should on all blower speeds. The suspension has been upgraded with new body mounts and bushings, new ball joints, new shocks, new end links, and new sway bar mounts. This Z28 is a Western US vehicle, and was Built in Van Nuys, CA plant, delivered to Daniels Motors, Colorado Springs, CO. Ended up in Las Cruces, NM until 2008. Spent next 10 years inland Southern California in Arroyo Grande and Bakersfield, and outside Las Vegas, NM. This Z28 has passed numerous CA SMOG inspections (documented from current back to 2008, with included smog passed reports). In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This Z28 is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs great. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. The exhaust has newer Flowmaster dual mufflers with a high flow catalytic converter and has an excellent exhaust note at idle and cruising speeds. This car is a blast to drive with the 4 speed manual transmission and with the AC blowing cold Air its enjoyable on the hot days as well. Also, the engine bay is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory AC car and all the stock components are still in place and currently the AC system is blowing cold air.
