Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this stunning 1973 Triumph TR6 which is beautiful restored condition with low Actual miles of 85,860. This TR6 was purchased around 10 years ago by its previous owner and driven around 5,000 miles over that time frame mostly to local car shows in the area. This TR6 has been nicely restored in its factory colors and is ready to be enjoyed by its new owner. This TR6 is very solid with excellent gaps and lines and the frame is very solid and honest and not covered up with cheap spray paint. This TR6 features show worthy excellent Pimento Red paint, a superb restored interior, a strong running 6 cylinder engine and 4 speed transmission which are believed to be original to the car. This TR6 is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Pimento Red exterior code (172) over Black code (11) interior. This is the factory color scheme as indicated on the commission plate pictured above. The low miles are shown as Actual on the Ohio title pictured above and also by the excellent overall condition of this TR6.

Exterior

The Pimento Red exterior is in terrific restored condition. This TR6 has show worthy paint and is in excellent condition and looks fresh in its base coat clear coat finish. The paint is in tremendous overall condition throughout and has an excellent shine and gloss. The paint looks deep and is smooth to the touch and is very consistent from panel to panel. There is no visible evidence of rust anywhere on this car. The body shows no rust at all and no bubbling or cracked paint. The underside is in great original shape as evidenced by the factory red oxide primer seen on the floor pans. Both bumpers are in excellent overall condition and have a great shine and no pitting. The chrome is in great shape. The Yokohama tires have nearly full tread left and are like new and sized 205/70/15 and the wheels are nicely restored originals with original aluminum trim rings. The convertible top is brand new and was just installed, top is a Robbins top. The top cover is in great condition. All weather stripping and seals are in like new condition and most have been replaced. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original trunk mat, original spare tire, and original jack tools. Both doors have “Triplex” original glass and both are in excellent shape and the windshield has original Triplex glass too.

Interior

The Black interior of this TR6 is in terrific restored condition. The Original seat covers are in excellent overall condition with no major wear, rips, seam splits and are very comfortable as Original seat covers are. As seen in the up close photos the Original seat material has the pinholes in the diamond pattern. The seat foam has been replaced under the original covers. The black carpet is in great overall condition with no major stains, rips, or holes and was recently replaced. The door panels are in good condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The dash is in great overall condition with no cracks or fading and the wood dash surround is in great condition as well. The dash pad was replaced and in great condition. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should. The horn works and the blower motor works. This TR6 has an upgraded Sony digital cassette player with newer Sony speakers. The stereo works excellently and sounds great. The seat belts were replaced recently and look new. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.

Mechanical

This TR6 is in excellent mechanical condition and it runs and drives very well. It pulls strong and is real responsive for a TR6. It rides tight and has no known rattles and is a pleasure to drive. The engine and transmission are believed to be original to the car with engine number CF6703UF. This TR6 has been driven to numerous car shows over the last 10 years and has always performed very well. This TR6 benefits from the installation of a rebuilt rear differential with new bushings and the mounts were reinforced, see photos. This was done about 3000 miles ago. An Ansa exhaust system was installed and gives this TR6 a tremendous exhaust note at idle and cruising speeds. New Main Bearings were installed about 4000 miles ago. We have driven this TR6 numerous times around town and on the highway and it always performs very well, does not run hot, rides tight, and is a true joy to drive. The clutch works well and is very smooth and does not pop out of gear and is easy to shift. The slave cylinder was recently replaced. The distributor has a new cap and rotor and the spark plugs were replaced with new spark plug wires. A spin on oil filter adapter was also installed. Previous owners of this fantastic TR6 have kept meticulous care of this car and the way it runs and drives is a testament to that. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs very well. This TR6 is an excellent driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. The brakes have been recently serviced and do not pull and stop as they should. The calipers, pads, and hoses are newer. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos.
