Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this stunning 1979 Custom Pro Touring Trans Am which is in fantastic restored condition and priced to sell. This Trans Am features a beautiful repaint, a complete newly Built LS1 drive line, a beautiful black deluxe Custom interior, a plethora of build documentation, and a pro touring type suspension. This Trans Am has no visible rust and is very solid with great lines and has an aggressive awesome stance. This Trans Am is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Black exterior over Black deluxe custom interior. This TA is wicked fast, ultra cool, and a true pleasure to drive especially with the t tops removed.

Exterior

The Starlight Black exterior is in beautiful restored condition. This Trans Am was treated to a professional repaint in Starlight Black exterior paint with all new decals and still shows very well and fresh. The paint is in great condition with no signs of visible rust and both bumpers are in excellent shape with no flaking or faded paint. 10th anniversary Trans Am decals were added during the repaint and the result is a tasteful one of a kind stunning appearance. The decals are in excellent shape. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. There is one dent in the lower drivers side fender behind the front tire, see photo. The Nitto NT 555 front and NT 450 rear tires have excellent tread left and are sized 255/50ZR17 in the front and 275/50R17 in the rear. The 17″ snowflake wheels are newer and are in excellent shape with no curb rash, and all lug nuts and center caps are newer. All weather stripping and window sweeps are newer and in great condition. Trunk is very solid and clean and has a working fuel cell and both t tops will fit next to fuel cell.

Interior

The Black deluxe custom interior of this Trans Am has been restored with several custom touches. The front seats are out of a modern GTO and the drivers seat is a fully working powered seat. The carpet is like new with no stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in good condition but does have a small piece missing above radio. The dash bezel is in good condition as well and features custom “Auto Meter” gauges which all work outside of the fuel gauge(needs sending unit). The gauges glow brightly at night and are easily visible and the turn signal and bright light indicators work. The AM/FM digital Retro Sound stereo works very well with two usb ports and three mp3 hook up ports. It sounds awesome with 4 new speakers. The Custom door panels are like new and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner has been replaced and is not sagging at all. All interior and exterior lights work very well and have been upgraded. The rear lights are LED and have sequential turn signals. The wipers work and so does the rear defrost but the horn and blower motor do not work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.

Mechanical

This Trans Am is in excellent mechanical condition and the LS1 drive line runs extremely well and has tons of torque and power, and is very quick. The drive line came out of a 2000 Camaro and has around 60K miles on it when installed. There is 1324 miles on the drive train conversion since installed in this TA. The new odometer gauge was set to “0”when installed. An upgraded “COMP” cam was installed and the cam card is pictured below. A large folder of receipts comes with the car and several of them are pictured below. A ton of $ has been spent on making this TA and awesome driving experience. A new B&M mega shifter was installed and really adds to the fun factor of driving this special TA. A new “Auburn” carrier was installed with 4.10 gears for a cost of $1,063.00. New sport leaf springs, new rear sway bar, and frame connectors were installed, parts only were $1246.78 see receipt. Coil overs were installed up front, single adjustable 550 pound springs, all for ball joints were replaced, and a full alignment took place, see receipt. Steering column was rebuilt and a new power steering box was installed. Several other items have been replaced and upgraded. This TA is very quick and rides like its on rails. We have driven this TA numerous times on the streets and highways and it always performs very well, does not run hot, rides very tight, and is a true joy to drive. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs very well. This Trans Am is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs excellent. The 4 wheel disk brakes do not pull and stop as they should. True dual exhaust was recently installed with armor coated headers with Hooker Aero Chamber mufflers. This TA has an awesome exhaust tone at idle and cruising speeds. The heavier the foot the more awesome the sound. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This TA has been loved and meticulously cared for by its previous owners and several wear items have been replaced. The outstanding way this TA looks and drives is a true testament to prior owners care and love for this special TA.
