Cincy Classic Cars is very proud to offer this Amazing Survivor 1979 Trans Am which is in stunning original condition with low actual miles of 24,540. This special TA has had only 2 owners new with the second owner having it from 1980 until 9/6/2023. This TA has been used sparingly over the years and just for pleasure driving but has been exercised regularly and driven around the block and started on a regular basis. This TA was stored in a garage from day one under a car cover. This Trans Am features very nice original White paint with original decals and moldings, a mint Tan deluxe vinyl original interior, the original numbers matching 403 engine, WS6 special handling package with 4 wheels disk brakes, numerous factory ordered options, and the factory build sheet and numerous dealer brochures. Also included is a hand written service log showing dates and mileage of service accounts. This Trans Am is absolutely solid and has no visible rust anywhere around the car or under the car, and is very solid with great lines and gaps. The underside is in beautiful original condition with no rust anywhere or any rust repairs or corrosion issues. There has been no touch ups or spray bombing with cheap spray paint. Its believed that this TA has never had any body work done and is all original sheet metal with all original paint. This Trans Am is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of White over Camel Tan deluxe vinyl interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above. The low mileage is not only validated by the amazing original condition of this TA but also by the Ohio title pictured below stating the mileage as “Actual.”

Exterior

The White exterior is in really nice overall unrestored original condition. This Trans Am has never had any body work done or paint work done. The paint is in great condition and looks fantastic for its age. There are no crazed areas or areas with cracked paint and absolutely no bubbling paint or rust issues. Both bumpers are in great shape. The paint has a nice gloss, a good shine and is smooth to the touch. The decals are original and look great new. There is zero rust on this TA and zero rust concerns on the body or underside of this TA. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires are original and still drive well and I drove the car home around 20 miles of mixed highway and back roads driving. The 15×8 snowflake wheels are OEM originals and are in great shape with no curb rash with original center caps and lug nuts. All weather stripping is in great shape including the window sweeps. The trunk is very solid and clean with the original trunk mat, jack and tools. The spare tire was changed to a full size spare incase a reliable spare was needed. The underside is as true and honest as the rest of the car and very solid and very rust free. Numerous factory paper tags and paint dobs and factory markings are still in place and visible. The original T Tops bags are in the trunk and it appears the T Tops were rarely removed.

Interior

The Tan deluxe vinyl interior of this Trans Am is original and in excellent condition. The seat covers are factory originals and in near perfect shape for their age and have no major wear or stains. In 1980 front seat covers were installed and placed over the seat covers and the seats were never exposed or sat on, see photos. The carpet is original with no major stains, rips, or holes and is in great condition. The original dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or fading and the dash bezel is in excellent condition as well. The Stereo has been upgraded to a Piorneer AM/FM cassette player which works and sounds good with upgraded Pioneer speakers. This was said to be installed in 1979 and still looks new. The original door panels are in near perfect condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is in excellent condition and not sagging and the original package tray is in excellent condition. All interior lights and gauges work as they should including the clock and cigarette lighter. The stereo, wipers, clock, cigarette lighter, turn signal indicators, horn, and blower motor on all speeds work. The factory AC system is still in tact and was serviced a few years ago and currently the system still blows cold air.

Mechanical

This Trans Am is in great mechanical condition with only 24,540 actual miles on the original 403 engine. This TA was recently serviced in preparation for this sale. A new fuel pump was added with new spark plugs and spark plug wires. Fluids changed and full inspection of car was done. This TA has only had two owners from new with the second owner having it for 43 years. The exhaust is stock and and is factory mild. The tires are not flat spotted and drive well for being originals. We have driven this TA a few times on the streets and highways and it always performs very well, does not run hot, rides very tight, and is a true joy to drive. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs very well. This Trans Am is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs excellent. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. Also, the engine is clean and very unmolested and factory stock. Several hoses and clamps are factory originals with factory markings. Brake booster and MC both have remnants of the factory original paper tags. This TA has been loved and meticulously cared for by its previous owners which is easily noticed in the photos and video. The outstanding originality of this TA and the way it drives is a true testament to prior owners care and love for this special TA.
