Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1978 Silver Anniversary Numbers Matching Corvette which is in beautiful overall condition with low actual miles of 76,070. This Corvette is a true Factory ordered Silver Anniversary Corvette with Black interior per trim tag pictured above. This is a stunning color combination over the mostly seen oyster or red interior examples. This Corvette features a very nice repaint in the sought after Silver Anniversary paint scheme, a mostly original black interior, and a very nice running 350 engine which is original to the car, see engine block vin stamp above. This Corvette is very solid with great lines and gaps and shows no signs of visible rust anywhere around or under the car. This Corvette is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Silver Anniversary paint(code 13/07) over Black interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified by the trim tag pictured above. The miles are noted as actual on the current and previous titles and the odometer statement from 2002 showing just over 72K miles. This Corvette sat for about 18 years after purchased in 2002 and has received some much needed maintenance in the recent months including, new brakes all around, new tires, new fluids and filters, new starter, and reworking the headlights and gauges to function properly.
Exterior
The Silver Anniversary exterior is in superb condition. This Corvette was treated to a professional paint job in the factory Silver Anniversary color which shows very well. The paint is in excellent condition and the frame is very solid. The paint has a great shine and is smooth to the touch. Both bumpers are in good shape with no flaking or fading paint. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos, there are some minor touch ups here and there. The tires are new with less than 500 mile son them are sized 245/60/15 and the wheels are OEM originals and in nice shape with no curb rash and shine nicely. The t tops have been upgraded to the glass mirror tops which give much more headroom inside and allow more light to come in. All glass is in great condition. The headlights go up and down and work as they should and were recently service with new actuators and more. The power antenna works great and goes up and down perfectly.
Interior
The Black leather interior of this Corvette is in great mostly original condition. The original seat covers are in great overall condition and show well. The carpet is in good condition with no major wear or holes or rips. The original dash is in great condition with no cracks and the dash bezel is in great condition as well. The stereo was upgraded to a digital am/fm mp3 player and works well in the car and sounds good. The door panels are in great condition and both door pulls are in tact. All gauges work as they should outside of the clock and were recently serviced and made to work properly. The stereo, wipers, power windows, power antenna, blinkers, horn, and fan blower also work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever. The factory AC system is all in tact but the freon will leak out over time.
Mechanical
This Corvette is in great mechanical condition and we have driven it numerous times and it always performs very well and is a true joy to drive. Very importantly the 350 engine is original to the car. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. The previous owner of this Corvette kept meticulous care of the car and regular maintenance was performed. This Corvette is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs great. The brakes were completely serviced with 4 new calipers and rotors and new pads and hoses. A new starter was added as well.
The brakes stop well. A new muffler was just added and the original catalytic converter is still in place. All fluids were changed and filters were changed as well. The headlights were also serviced to made to work properly.
Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos.
