Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this Stunning 1978 Factory 4 Speed Silver Anniversary Corvette which is in beautiful overall condition with low actual miles of 64,599. This Corvette is truly exciting being a Factory Silver Anniversary 4 Speed Corvette L82 example with beautiful black interior. This Corvette was owned for 20 years by the previous owner and used sparingly as he had a collection of cars. This Corvette features a nice repaint, a terrific leather interior, a desirable 4 speed manual transmission, and a great running 350 engine. This Corvette is very solid with great lines and gaps and shows no signs of visible rust anywhere around the car or underneath the car. This Corvette is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Silver Anniversary (code 13/07) over Black Leather interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified by the trim tag pictured above. This Corvette comes with the original owners manual.
Exterior
The Silver Anniversary exterior is in great restored stock condition. This Corvette was professionally repainted and shows very well today. The paint is in great overall condition and has an excellent gloss with a smooth touch and deep shine. Its a special factory color scheme only seen in 1978 and is very much desired and collectible. There is no rust anywhere around this car and the underside is very rust free as well. Both bumpers are in good overall shape. There may be some minor imperfections around the car that may not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires are older but still have excellent thread and are sized 255/60/15 and the wheels are OEM originals and in wonderful shape and shine nicely. The t tops come on and off nicely and fit snug and do not rattle while driving. The headlights go up and down as they should and work extremely well. The headlights were recently rebuilt and work very well. The frame and underneath of this car is extremely solid and very clean and honest.
Interior
The Black Leather interior of this Corvette is in wonderful overall condition. The leather seat covers are in excellent condition with no rips, seam splits, or excessive wear. The carpet is in like new condition and was replaced with correct replacement carpet. The front carpet and rear carpet was just replaced and looks new in the car. The original dash is in excellent condition with no fading or cracks and the dash bezel is in great condition as well. The original AM/FM 8 track stereo is still in the car and sounds great and thankfully the dash was not cut for a modern stereo. The power antenna works properly and goes up and down well with the stereo on off knob. The door panels are in good condition and both door pulls are in tact. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the clock. The stereo, power windows, power antenna, power door locks, and fan blower also work. The tach reads a little high and the horn is not working. There is a CB installed and located in the storage container in the rear cargo area, the cb antenna is included. The factory AC system is still in tact but currently is not blowing cold air. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This Corvette is in great mechanical condition and we have driven it numerous times and it always performs extremely well and is a true joy to drive, especially with the t tops off rowing through the gears. The previous owner of this Corvette kept meticulous care of this special car and drove it sparingly over 20 years of ownership. The rear brakes have been serviced with new rotors, pads, hoses, and calipers within the last hundred miles. The brake booster and master cylinder were also replaced and the proportioning valve. The brakes work very well and do not pull from side to side. This Corvette was upgraded with Flowmaster exhaust which has a great exhaust note at idle and cruising speeds. This corvette rides very tight with no odd rattles or squeaks. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs extremely well. This Corvette is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs great. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. The clutch feels good and it shifts easily in and out of gear. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. The emergency brake is not working well but a complete emergency brake rebuild kit comes with the car, see receipt.
