Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this stunning 1978 Camaro Rally Sport which is very nice stock condition with low actual miles of 32,539. This factory Camaro Rally Sport is quite rare being 1 of only 5696 produced with Type LT interior, see photo of trim tag below with Rally Sport code Z85 and build sheet. This also being a factory 350 Engine RS with factory 4 Speed manual transmission makes this special RS even more rare and sought after. This Camaro Rally Sport features a nice repaint in factory Bright Blue and Black with correct rally sport decals, a beautiful restored to stock interior, and the original numbers matching 350 engine and 4 speed transmission, see vin stamp photos below. This Camaro was factory rust proofed by Ziebart when new, see rust proofing plug holes and photo of Ziebart Label on door. There is also evidence of rustproofing in the engine bay primarily on the wheel wells. This Camaro is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Bright Blue & Black (code 22 & 19) over Type LT Blue (code 24C) deluxe cloth interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured below and factory build sheet. The low actual miles is not only verified by the great all around condition of this RS but also by the clear Ohio title pictured below stating the miles as “Actual.”

Exterior

The Blue and Black exterior is in very nice restored condition. This Camaro was treated to a professional repaint in factory Bright Blue & Black, with new Rally Sport decals. The paint is in good condition and both bumpers are in overall good shape with no faded paint, but there are some chips that have been touched up on the lower front bumper. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires have good tread left and are correctly sized 215/70/14 and the OEM rally wheels are restored and are in good shape and shine nicely. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in great condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original trunk mat, original spare tire, and the original jack. All glass is “LOF” original glass and in excellent shape.

Interior

The Type LT Blue Cloth interior of this Camaro Rally Sport is in excellent restored condition. The newer Type LT seat covers are in excellent condition with no major wear, seam splits, or rips or tears. These were professionally made out of NOS material. New seat foam was added as well and they are like new in every way. The carpet was replaced and in new condition with no major stains, rips, or holes. The Type LT door panels were replaced as well and are in like new condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The original dash is in great condition with no cracks or fading and the dash bezel is in great condition as well. The am/fm stereo works well and thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo. The package tray is newer and in excellent condition. The headliner is like new with no sagging or stains and was replaced as well. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should, outside of the clock. The horn, wipers, stereo, heater and amazingly the cigarette lighter still works. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.

Mechanical

This Camaro is in great mechanical condition with only 32,539 actual miles on the original 350 engine. We have driven this RS numerous times around town and it always performs well, does not run hot, rides tight, and is a true joy to drive. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This Camaro is an great driver that feels good on the road and at highway speeds. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs good. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. This Camaro has a stock style exhaust but the cat. has been removed and replaced with a strait pipe. Also, the engine is meticulously clean and factory correct and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory AC car and all the components appear to be in place but systems looks to need a charge to blow cold.
