Cincy Classic Cars is very proud to offer this stunning 1977 Pontiac Formula which is in fantastic fully restored condition with over $25,000 in restoration receipts from 2009 forward. This Formula was treated to a full frame on multi-year restoration starting in 2009 with less than 5000 miles added since completed. This Formula has been fully restored to a high level and looks and drives fantastic and is like new or better than new in every way. This Formula is very solid with excellent body lines and gaps and there is no rust anywhere around the car and no bubbling paint. Frame and under carriage is also very solid with no seen rust. This Formula features a newer quality paint job, a beautiful restored interior, a new 350 Chevy crate engine, a rebuilt TH350 auto transmission, and a complete Vintage Air AC system upgrade. This Formula is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Starlight Black over Firethorn Red vinyl interior. Just a beautiful color combination and rarely seen on a second gen firebird.

Exterior

The Black exterior is in superb restored condition. This Formula was treated to a professional repaint in recent years and still has a show quality look. The paint quality is very nice with an excellent gloss and is smooth to the touch. There is no rust anywhere on the body of this Formula and the lines and gaps are good. Both bumpers are in great shape with no flaking or faded paint and no spider webbing. The front grills were replaced during the repaint and so was the nose crest emblem. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. Tires have great tread left and are sized 245/60/15 and the 15×7 snowflake wheels are OEM original wheels which are in great shape with nice center caps and lug nuts. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in excellent new condition. The door seals, trunk seal, window sweeps, and window seals are all new. Trunk is very solid and clean with an original space saver spare tire, jack and new trunk mat. All glass is “LOF” original style glass outside of the replaced windshield. The sun roof was added prior to the restoration and does not leak in any way and actually lets a lot of cool air in the car while driving. It works as it should and does not rattle or cause any concern.

Interior

The Firethorn vinyl interior of this Formula is in terrific fully restored condition. The seat covers have been recently replaced and are like new with no noticeable wear. The seat foam was also replaced and the seat are very comfortable. The carpet was replaced and in like new condition with no major stains, rips, or holes. The dash is in excellent overall condition and the dash bezel is in great condition as well. The two prong AM/FM Digital Retrosound MP3 stereo was installed years ago in the factory position so nothing was cut in the dash, and it sounds great with the newer Pioneer speakers. The door panels are new and in excellent condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner has been replaced and is like new condition. The package tray was recently replaced and is in like new condition and newer 6×9 speakers were added. All interior lights and gauges work as they should including the clock and cigarette lighter. The stereo, wipers, horn, and blower motor all work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.

Mechanical

This Formula is in excellent mechanical condition with a newer 350 Chevy crate engine that runs amazingly. From the factory this car had a Chevy 305 so the Crate 350 is a nice upgrade. This Formula has more power than stock and we estimate it to be around 300-325 HP. The TH 350 transmission was completely rebuilt. Less than 5000 miles are on the complete restoration. Receipts totaling over $25,000 for the restoration come with the sale, so the frame on full restoration is documented. We have driven this Formula numerous times on the streets and highways and it always performs very well, does not run hot, rides tight, and is a true joy to drive. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs very well. This Formula is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs great. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should and were serviced and upgraded with new master cylinder and all new brake lines. A new gas tank was installed and all new full lines were added. True dual Pypes exhaust was recently added which gives this Formula an excellent rumble at idle and cruising speeds. Ceramic coated headers were also installed.
Suspension has been upgraded including new leaf springs, coil spring, shocks, end links, ball joints, bushings, body mounts, and new engine and transmission mounts. A Serpentine belt system has been added and the engine is exceptionally smooth and responsive. New alternator and power steering system were also added. Also, the engine is exceptionally clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory NON AC car but a complete Vintage Air AC system was added and works perfectly and blows ice cold air and warm heat. The system is very efficient and does not clutter up the engine bay. This Formula has been loved and meticulously cared for by its previous owners and nearly all wear items have been replaced. The outstanding way this Formula looks and drives is a true testament to prior owners care and love for this special car. Notice the new body mounts under the car and newer leaf springs.
