Cincy Classic Cars is very proud to offer this stunning frame off restored 1973 Triumph TR6 which is in beautiful show ready condition and comes with a restored hard top and with added overdrive. This TR6 has been completely restored and is fully documented with 50 plus photos of restoration and over $25,000 in included receipts and service records. The restoration started in 2014 and finished in early 2018. The car was fully disassembled and every component was restored, detailed, then reinstalled creating a better than new TR6. This TR6 features a fresh show ready paint job(including engine bay and underside), a fully rebuilt drive line with added overdrive, a fully restored upgraded interior, a restored matching hardtop, and a completely rust free body and frame. This TR6 is turn key and like new or better than new and is ready for show or go. This TR6 is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Sapphire Blue exterior over Black interior.

Exterior

The Sapphire Blue exterior is in fully restored condition. This TR6 was fully painted around 2 years ago in beautiful Sapphire Blue paint. The body was completely removed from the frame and the entire tub was painted and the finish is very consistent around the entire car including the underside and engine bay area and trunk. The paint is in super nice condition and has an excellent shine and gloss and is smooth to the touch. Engine and transmission were removed and the engine bay and underside has the same level of fresh paint as the body does. The included matching hard top was fully restored and repainted when the body was painted. It looks new and is an
excellent sought after upgrade which includes new headliner and all mounting hardware. There is absolutely no evidence of rust anywhere on this car. The body shows no rust at all and no bubbling or cracked paint. Any rust concerns were properly addressed prior to paint, including new floors, inner and outer rockers, and sills. The underside is completely rust free as well and the frame is in excellent restored condition. The underside is completely detailed and was fully restored to show condition. Both bumpers are brand new and look excellent on the car and show like new. The Continental tires are brand new with less than 1000 miles on them and sized 205/65/15 and the wheels are fully restored originals with new trim rings and brand new lug nuts. The convertible top is brand new and in perfect condition and the top cover is brand new as well. All weather stripping and seals are in like new condition and have been replaced. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original spare tire and original jack tools. Both doors have new glass and the windshield has just been replaced and like new.

Interior

The Black interior of this TR6 is in Mint completely restored condition. The Miata seat kit with Naugahyde seat covers made by Mr. Mike are brand new and just installed and the headrest speakers were replaced and work great. The covers are soft and the seats are very comfortable. The seats recline and offer more support than their factory counterparts. New Securon seat belts were installed and work great. Custom interior panels and hood cover by noted TR6 enthusiast Bob Danielson were recently installed. The carpet is brand new as well and just installed and in excellent new condition and sound deadener has been installed as well. The door panels were just replaced as well and are in like new condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. New dash top, crash pads, knobs, sun visors, mirrors and dash support side panels were just installed. The fully restored wood dash surround is like new and looks excellent in the car. The gauges are bright and crisp and all work and the gauge lights shine brightly in the dark. Gauge faces were re-silk screened at West Valley Instruments and proper green bulb covers were installed to give a like new gauge illumination, the gauges were completely taken apart and rebuilt and look like new. The stereo was upgraded to a digital retrosound bluetooth player and works properly and sounds excellent, new speakers were also added. All interior and exterior lights work as they should including the overdrive light. The horn, blower motor, stereo, wipers all work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever. It smells and looks new inside.

Mechanical

This TR6 is in superb mechanical condition and it runs and drives extremely well. Over $25,000 was spent during the 4 year restoration of this special TR6 and a 3″ binder documenting the build comes with the sale including receipts and service records. Everything mechanical on this car has been fully restored and detailed and the finished product is stunning in appearance but even more impressive in the way it corners and accelerates. Its plainly the best running/driving TR6 either of us has ever had the pleasure to drive. J type overdrive by Quantum Mechanics was added during the restoration and works flawlessly and really adds to the driving experience especially while motoring down the highway or back country roads. The overdrive light on the dash illuminates when the OD is engaged. The engine work was finished recently and has less than 1000 miles on the complete rebuild. The engine is a 1969 high compression unit which has been completely rebuilt and rebuild receipts are included with the sale totaling almost $4400 just for the engine rebuild. The block was bored .30 over and has new pistons, rings, bearings, seals, camshaft, lifters, push rods, oil pump, timing chain, water pump, fuel pump, Alternator, freeze plugs and motor mounts. British Parts Northwest 270 cam was installed. Cylinder head has new valves, new springs, new bronze guides, new rockers, new rocker shaft and temp sensor. Drive train has new clutch, pressure plate, release bearing, cross shaft and bushings and flywheel was surfaced. Transmission has new synchros, gaskets, seals, mounts and speedo shaft seal. Rear differential was completely rebuilt and detailed and the differential mounts have been reinforced on the frame as evidenced by the photos. Rear axle has new mounts, pinion seal, output seals and u-joints. Rear wheel bearing housings rebuilt and new road springs. Hydraulics: All brakes and clutch cylinders rebuilt / replaced including calipers, hoses, new master cylinder, pads and shoes. The suspension was completely rebuilt with Polyurethane bushings throughout and Goodparts adjustable trailing arm brackets and new Road springs and new ball joints and new shocks. We have driven this TR6 numerous times around town and on the highway and it always performs extremely well, does not run hot, rides tight, and is a true joy to drive. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs extremely well. This TR6 is an excellent driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. The brakes have been recently serviced and do not pull and stop as they should. The stainless steel exhaust system looks factory and was just replaced and sounds great at idle and cruising speeds. Also, the engine is meticulously clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. The engine bay is show ready and very fresh. Upgraded ignition and new spark plugs and spark plug wires were recently installed. A new emergency brake cable was installed and works as it should.
