Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1972 Factory 4 Speed Mustang Mach 1 which is in beautiful overall condition and priced to sell. This Mustang was owned for a long time by one owner from 1984 until 2019 with copies of title to authenticate. So 36 years with one owner. This Mach 1 features a beautiful repaint in factory Green with new decals, a beautiful stock interior, the original numbers matching 351 Cleveland engine, a four speed manual transmission, and the factory build sheet and original sales contract/work order. This Mustang is very solid with great lines and gaps. This Mustang is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Green over Green Mach 1 interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the door label pictured above and included build sheet and original bill of sale. This Mustang only has 64K actual miles and the current new Ohio title has the miles marked as actual.

Exterior

The Green exterior is in beautiful restored condition. This Mach 1 was treated to a professional repaint about 30 years ago and still looks fresh today and show worthy. The paint is in great overall condition and has a nice shine and is smooth to the touch and is very solid and both bumpers are in great shape. The fact the paint still looks this nice after 30 years is a true testament to how nice the car has been cared for over the years. Its been primarily used as a local show car. The rear chrome bumper has a great shine and is in excellent shape. The front bumper is in great shape with no spider webbing paint. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but nothing was intentionally excluded from the photos. The tires are brand new and have full tread left and are sized 255/60/15 in the rear and 235/60/15 in the front and the 15″ Magnum 500 wheels are brand new and are in excellent shape with no curb rash and come with new center caps and lug nuts. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in excellent condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with an original style trunk mat. Car was rust proofed when new with Ziebart rust proof protection. Ziebart sticker is still on back window and you can see numerous yellow plugs around the car.

Interior

The Mach 1 interior of this Mustang is in wonderful stock condition. The seat covers are like new with no noticeable wear anywhere. The carpet is brand new with no stains, rips, or major holes. The original dash is in great condition with no fading or warping and the dash bezel is in great condition and the gauges are crisp and work properly. The factory stereo works well and thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo. The door panels are like new and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner and package tray are in great condition as well. All interior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the clock. The stereo, horn, rear defrost and blower motor also work. Even the cigarette lighter works which is rarely the case. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever. The rim blow steering wheel is a great option and it works very well.

Mechanical

This Mustang is in superb mechanical condition and comes with the original 351 Cleveland engine. The engine runs very well with 64,278 actual miles. A new clutch was installed and the brakes were serviced. The rear gears were changed to 3.89 and the rear end and axle got new seals. A new heater core was installed and the complete system was flushed with new coolant added. All fluids were changed including engine oil, rear end, and transmission. New fuel pump was added and fuel sending unit. New distributor and spark plug wires were added. New starter was added. We have driven this car numerous times and it always performs well, it has not run hot, rides tight, and always a joy to drive. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This Mach 1 is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs excellent. The brakes were serviced and do not pull and stop as they should. New exhaust was just added from front to rear and it has an amazing exhaust note at idle and cruising speeds and no noticeable drone. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory NON AC car which really cleans up the engine bay and adds to performance.
